DESCRIPTION
The Techno Union, sometimes referred to as The New Techno Union, is a corporation that is centered around the growth, development, and furtherment of the technological community. A conglomerate of several different industries, both small and large, this commerce guild is held together by a board of directors and acts as a single entity. The company has had a presence in the galaxy for years, finding it's roots in the old Republic and then the Empire after it's fall. In recent years The Techno Union has pushed to ally itself with The Confederacy of Independent Systems and work to maintain a balance of all the corporations allied with them. Finding their primary field in Droid Manufacturing they are often delivering new classes of droids and drones to the galaxy. With their droids, a large amount of starship manufacturing and even nanotechnology can be found in the halls of the company.
RATIONALE
Star Wars Techno Union Meme
The Techno Union is no longer headed by a singular entity. In the past a single foreman or sometimes CEO took the position as the head of the company. Now the company is led by a board of directors of roughly ten to fifteen men at any given time. These men, women, and aliens are pulled from the most influential and successful companies within the Techno Union. With the rise of Dynetech Industries, Asher Malvern was able to land himself a seat as one of the companies board members. It was not long after that his knowledge and experience led him to be named the Chairman of the board. He will hold the title for the next eight fiscal years until the next vote occurs and a new chairman may be chosen.

General Information
The Techno Union was a group of technology companies that sided with the CIS in the Separatist Crisis that started the Clone Wars. The Techno Union was ruled by Foreman Wat Tambor through the Crisis. They created a lot of the designs for the droids that the Separatists used, such as B1 and B2 battle droids. They said that they did not have a side during the Clone Wars, but they still helped the CIS. The Senator Gume Saam was their voice in the Galactic Senate. Once the Clone Wars ended and the Empire was created, the recently developed government acquired the Techno Union. This led to many of its employees having to search for new jobs elsewhere.
History
Separatist Crisis
The Techno Union, in a meeting on Geonosis, agreed to give the Separatists a droid army. The leader, Wat Tambor, also gave his loyalty to the Separatists. In doing so, Tambor and the Techno Union gained a place on the Separatist Council.
Clone Wars
As a huge and well known company, the Techno Union was able to push for more war effort in the Galactic Senate. Using Senator Gume Saam to do so, they attempted to fabricate more demand from the Republic for their goods.
When Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano broke in to the Citadel, the Clone Trooper called Echo was thought to have been killed. However, he survived, and the Separatists took him. He was bought by the Techno Union, and they did tests on him. They made a “brain-computer interface” of him.
The Techno Union found a strategy formula in Echo, and used it during the Battle of Anaxes. The CIS purchased the results of the formula from the Union.
Prior to the aforementioned Battle of Anaxes, an early version of the organic decimator was created by the Union. Their goal was to put the decimator up for sale to Separatists.
